Autobiography

I was born on a warm, sunny day in the month of April in Dhaka, Bangladesh. We lived in the main city of our country. And I was living with my mom, dad, two sisters and a brother. Now my mother is still alive, but my dad passed away two years ago. When I was born, my elder sister was only three years old and hid under the table from me. I’m the middle child of my family. My younger sister is very naughty but she is also very kind and intelligent; and my little brother is a very sweet kid. He would do anything for me. Just like all other brothers and sisters, we fight sometimes like cats and dogs. But I love my sisters and my younger brother very much. We love our parents who brought us up to this position. My dad was a very good and a very ambitious person. He was an Education Director. It gives me a great feeling and enormous pride to see who my dad was and what he stood for.

My name is Afrina Parveen Khan. I started school when I was only three years old. I went to kindergarten first and then through the 12th grade I went to the Muslim Modern Academy. While I was there, I won an award for the perfect attendance. I also won an award for honor rolls for semester terms. Later I attended the Shahid Anwar Girls’ College, and there I also won a couple of awards for perfect attendance again and in the sports. I did my Bachelor’s degree in Arts at the Adamjee Cantonment University back in our country. Up until this point in my life, I have always worked hard to achieve my educational goals. Soon after my graduation, I got a very good job. I started working as a Flight-Stewardess for our National Airlines “Biman Bangladesh Airlines”. Both my elder sister and her husband were also working in the same airlines. My sister was in an upper position while my brother-in-law was a Pilot. He was one of the best pilots in our country. When we used to fly all together, we enjoyed it very much. This was quite a fun job.

As a stewardess, I have travelled and lived in Doha (Qatar), Tehran (Iran), Dubai, Abu Dhabi (UAE), Riyadh, Jeddah, Dammam (Saudi Arabia), Tokyo, Bangkok, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Manchester City; and countries like Bahrain, Kuwait, Muscat, France, Italy, Scotland, Ireland, Spain, Singapore, Belgium, Malaysia, Nepal, India, Burma, Indonesia, Philippines, Germany and many parts of the U.S.

Life to me means friends and family who you can trust and who trust you. I am pretty much on the happy side of life. Like all teens, I do have my “days of” that means I do have some sad days or depress days. I have very few friends here who sort of look out for me when I am having a bad day. I had lot of friends and colleague in my country but now I’m not able to see anyone. When I was with my friends, our favorite places to go were to the movies, get together, out to lunch and dinner and to parties. Sometimes we also went to the beach. I hope to make new friends here and to enjoy my time once again.

My hobbies are to travel to as many countries as I can, and I like music, dance, reading, Arts, dress collections, cultural events, watching movies and meeting new people. I did a lot of sports during my school and college life. I used to race, play badminton and actively participated in many other games.

From the very beginning, I have always placed a great importance on education and have had a drive to learn more and excel in life. I would hope that all of my experiences from my personal as well as my professional life will provide the foundation on which my family can succeed and the company I will work for in the future.

I hope that you have enjoyed my autobiography as much as I have enjoyed writing it for you. I think you can see that my life has been based on hard work, education and responsibility. It is these principles that I believe one can have the greatest effect on his or her successes.
