My Goals for this semester:

About Me

My name is Angie. I was born in Medellin, Colombia, I am a only child. I grew up with my mom and grand parents. I’m still very close to my grandma even though she lives in Colombia. I studied there and have a degree as a Social Worker. I also studied one year Business but I did not finish it, I have never worked as a Social Worker. I like sales and since I am a people person it is easy for me to work in that area. After finishing the university, I decided to go to Italy for a vacation and I fell in love with that country. I have lived in Verona, Genoa, and Milan, but most of the time I lived in Milan; I learned to love that city and the people who live there. Milan has always been welcoming to me. I had a wonderful dog named Thor, he was a Border Collie. The job that I enjoyed the most in Italy was working at the Ferrari Store. While living in Europe I have had the opportunity to visit several places, this is one of the beautiful things that are in my mind. Now I am married with an American guy. He is a very nice and a lovely man; he has a lot of qualities that are important for me to build a family as a couple. I have lived in California almost 3 years, and in Long Beach just 3 months. I have been studying English for two years. I dream of the day when I can speak English with a big group, understand everything that I listen to the TV or movies, think and dream in English. That has been one of my dreams since I was a kid and it is becoming a reality! In my free time I use to go to the gym, to do yoga, learn how to meditate, ride my bicycle, enjoy the city, and feel the wind on my face, I love it! I also love to read in English, this is something that I started to do this year. I enjoy cooking at home, speaking Italian with an Italian conversation group and practicing rock climbing. In the future I’m going to look for a job. I would like to have a job to make money to build my dreams and help people with my skills. When winter comes, my husband and I are planning snowboarding. I am not very good yet, but I am trying to learn this awesome sport! People that know me say that I love to smile, see the positive side of life, help my friends and enjoy life. This is Angie Perez!
